Altos participation at Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2024 ceremony

Meet the winners and the participation of our Tequila Altos in this edition held in Hong Kong

The list of Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2024 was announced at a live awards ceremony on July 16 in Hong Kong. The ceremony, organized in collaboration with the Hong Kong Tourism Board, featured bars from 18 cities across Asia, including 15 new entries, culminating in naming Bar Leone in Hong Kong as the Best Bar in Asia.

Hong Kong’s Bar Leone has achieved the remarkable feat of debuting at the coveted No.1 spot. Celebrating its first anniversary, this bar was founded by bartender Lorenzo Antinori and embodies the Italian ethos of “cocktails popolari” or “cocktails for the people”. At No.2 is the low-waste bar, Zest in Seoul, which has moved up three spots, becoming the Best Bar in Korea. A constant presence in the top five is Singapore’s Jigger & Pony at No.3, becoming the Best Bar in Singapore for the fifth consecutive year. Last year’s top-place holder, Coa, takes the No.4 spot, and No.5 is Tokyo’s Bar Benfiddich, which takes the title of Best Bar in Japan.

Seoul bars secured five spots on the list, as previously mentioned, Zest leads them at No.2. Sustainability-focused Zest is led by Dohyung ‘Demie’ Kim, winner of the Altos Bartenders’ Bartender Award 2024
