IWSC Results 2025: House of Tequila Wins 6 Prestigious Medals

The International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC) is one of the most prestigious events in the world of spirits. With over 50 years of history, this competition is known for its rigorous blind tasting process and for spotlighting those labels that truly stand out.
In its 2025 edition,we entered six products — all of which received medals, including a Gold for one of our most emblematic mezcals.
A Competition That Celebrates the Best in the World
The IWSC is more than just a competition — it’s a global network of experts, producers, and lovers of great spirits. Every year, brands from around the world enter their spirits hoping to receive the approval of a highly specialized panel. Here, brand names and labels are not part of the judging — every product is evaluated blindly, based solely on its quality, flavor, and character.
Gold for Del Maguey Tobala and a Streak of Medals

This year, Del Maguey Tobalá stood out from House of Tequila’s portfolio, winning a gold medal with 95 points. This recognition places it at the top of the ranking and matches the scores received by Vida Puebla and Vida de Muertos last year — both of which went on to win special trophies.
In addition, three other labels from the portfolio received medals:
- Del Maguey Chichicapa – Silver (92 points)
- Olmeca Plata – Silver (91 points)
- Altos Reposado – Silver (90 points)
These awards celebrate the consistency, authenticity, and craftsmanship behind each bottle, recognizing the effort of mezcal and tequila masters, as well as House of Tequila’s commitment to keeping tradition alive while also embracing innovation.
More Than a Contest: A Community
Since its founding in 1969, the International Wine and Spirit Competition has grown into much more than just a medal ceremony. It is a community where artisanal distilleries, global producers, tasters, distributors, and industry professionals come together to share experiences, raise standards, and learn from one another.
One of the most interesting aspects of the IWSC is its openness to new proposals and talent. It doesn’t only celebrate major brands — it also supports those just starting out or those offering a fresh perspective on the world of spirits.
Recognition That Begins at the Source
These medals are not only a source of pride for House of Tequila — they’re also a recognition of everyone involved in the process: from the people who work the land and grow the agave to those who carefully bottle each batch. These awards are not understood solely as individual achievements, but as the result of a value chain that honors each product’s origin.
