House of Tequila at San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2025

The San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC) is one of the most respected contests in the spirits industry. Every year, it brings together experts, judges, and key figures from the sector to evaluate labels from all over the world.

In its 2025 edition, House of Tequila proudly participated and received multiple medals that highlight the quality, flavor, and character of its spirits.

Recognition for Excellence

This year’s results brought great news for House of Tequila’s portfolio. The judges awarded products from different categories that reflect both tradition and innovation in the worlds of tequila and mezcal.

  • Del Maguey Tobalá received a Double Gold Medal with a score of 95 — a recognition given only to spirits that earn top marks from all judges.
  • Del Maguey Vida de Muertos, another standout from the world of artisanal mezcal, earned a Gold Medal with 93 points.
  • Additionally, three Silver Medals celebrated the craftsmanship behind other key expressions: Altos Plata Tequila, Altos Reposado Tequila, and Del Maguey San Luis del Río.

These awards are not just about medals — they reflect a deep connection to each product’s origin, respect for traditional processes, and the collaboration between brands, producers, and local communities.

Why This Competition Matters

The San Francisco Spirits Awards isn’t just another event on the calendar. Since 2000, it has become an international benchmark. Tastings are done blind — no labels, no brand names — meaning each drink is judged solely on taste, aroma, and overall quality.

The jury is made up of top-tier professionals: sommeliers, specialized journalists, distributors, and spirits consultants. Winning a medal here not only serves as a mark of quality, but also helps brands open new doors and gain international visibility for doing things the right way.

Pride Born from Agave

At House of Tequila, every bottle tells a story. Whether it comes from the palenques in Oaxaca or the agave fields of Jalisco, the work of mezcal and tequila masters is at the heart of everything we do.

That’s why these recognitions aren’t just for the brand — they’re for all the people behind the process: from those who plant and care for the agave, to those who bottle each batch with attention and pride.

Being awarded at the San Francisco Spirits Awards 2025 reaffirms this path and inspires us to keep sharing the taste of Mexico with the world.

Congratulations to all the teams, producers, and collaborators for these well-earned achievements — built with dedication, passion, and true Mexican pride.
